It is perhaps not totally a linux question. I have Samba4 server (Version 4.1.17-Debian) and Windows 10 desktop. My problem is that I can't access this share from Windows 10 but it is works perfect from Windows 7. From this Windows 10 dekstop pc I can reach other older Samba shares (eg. Samba3). I found some posts on the internet which refer to changes can cause this problem in Windows 10, but honestly these settings didnt help me. Could someone give me reason about it and good advice what should I adjust in Windows 10 in order to be usable?

Ah, I remember why I don't use Windows...again.
There are a number of misfeatures that need to be reconfigured in Win10 out of the box. I'm pretty sure I saw this topic on a list somewhere, but forget where.

Ihatewindows522, thank you for your answer but unfortunately it didnt work for me, moreover my problem is different. When I try to connect to share I get an error code: 0x80070035 The network path was not found

Anyone? Any idea? Any resolution?

Are you using a 3rd Party AV on your windows machine? Have you tried to disable the AV and see if that works? Many of those AV products have software firewalls with very strict and crippling rules in them.

have you checked the logs on the box serving samba 4? It may give an indication why the connection is being rejected

As I wrote it I can access other samba shares but they are samba3. Of course I tried to disable my AV and the problem was same and unfortunately samba log doesnt show anything about it. The only thing I can see that samba create in /var/log/samba log.* files. This filename contain my netbios name and ip address of my desktop where I try to access this samba4 share. So I think it is not a firewall issue.
