Which PHP for mysql 4.1.14?

I've got mysql 4.1.14 and php 4.1.10, which seems to be running, and php actually connects, but when it tries to fetch queries, I get glibc crashes. To make php work with mysql I made a .12 link to the .14 client!!

So I guess I need to insatll a php that is looking for the .14 client.

Which one would that be?

I'm using Slackware 10.1 with the 2.6.13 kernel. It's an embedded machine with 1G Flash, but the original install was done on a 512 M. I hadn't installed apache or php at that time ( for space reasons ).

So recently I loaded apache and php from www.packages.slackware.it. I loaded packages and installed with installpkg. Then I tweaked httpd.conf and php.ini. The main problem I had was an error loading mysql.so which complained of not being able to find libmysqlclient.so.12. Looking I found libmysqlclient.so.14. So I figured, "how much difference can there be between 12 and 14?" heh-heh. So, "ln libmysqlclient.so.14.0.0 libmysqlcliente.so.12". Had to put libmysqlcliente.so.12 in the same directory as mysql.so as well.

Almost works! apart from some pesky glibc crashes.

Found what I needed

Found my distro CD for the versión I am using. I had Slackware 10.2 installed and thought I had 10.1. So removepkg php of the bad one and installpkg of the correct one. Everything works like a charm.
