I'm using Slackware 10.1 with the 2.6.13 kernel. It's an embedded machine with 1G Flash, but the original install was done on a 512 M. I hadn't installed apache or php at that time ( for space reasons ).
So recently I loaded apache and php from
www.packages.slackware.it. I loaded packages and installed with installpkg. Then I tweaked httpd.conf and php.ini. The main problem I had was an error loading mysql.so which complained of not being able to find libmysqlclient.so.12. Looking I found libmysqlclient.so.14. So I figured, "how much difference can there be between 12 and 14?" heh-heh. So, "ln libmysqlclient.so.14.0.0 libmysqlcliente.so.12". Had to put libmysqlcliente.so.12 in the same directory as mysql.so as well.
Almost works! apart from some pesky glibc crashes.
