what is min & max spare server in Apache


Hi
Im not very new to apache web server in my httpd.conf .I found below configuration file ,But i could not know how to modify the spare server & server limit which i found in my httpd.conf. whether i have to keep 50 spare server for apache server .


Server Limit 600
Max Clients 320
Start Servers 50
Spare Servers Min 25
Spare Servers Max 145
Max Requests Per Server 100
Timeout 60
KeepAlive Off
