I don't know about others, but I don't understand what you are attempting to communicate. Can you try to clarify?

I can't understand what problem you are trying to describe. What is *the problem*? I don't understand "was span with linux". I don't understand "the route server". Router ?

Are you saying:

you cannot establish the PPPoE connection to your ISP?

or,

you *have* established a PPPoE connection, but your other computers cannot use that connection through your linux machine?

Does your linux router have ip forwarding turned on?

cat /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward

if thats 0 then you don't and you need to turn it on

echo 1 > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward

you'll also want to turn it on permanently usually this is found in /etc/sysctl.conf, it might even have a line in it already that you just need to uncommment (something like net.ipv4.ip_forward = 1 or net/ipv4/ip_forward = 1)

Last night, your post #7 stated that option 1 was the problem:

Quote:
"I cannot establish the PPPoE connection to the ISP?"
This morning, I see you've changed it to:

Quote:
The linux machine have established a PPPoE connection, but other computers can not connect to the network through the linux machine!
Too tough to diagnose a moving target.
