Well sushant,
Your questions seems very logical. Before answering this can u pls share with has
exactly how u have block the websites in squid. I taking in terms what configuration
have u done in squid.conf file.

Yes u can unblock this site as well just u have to define a new acl for it.
Before exaclty giving the answer pls share ur lines by which u have block.

thanks a lot.

Hi VAP

Hope u r fine

Actually I have configured two files one is block.acl & other is allow.acl
I think now you understand my configuration.

In squid.conf I have configured these files with acl regex

The one line from my squid.conf is:

acl bad url_regex "/etc/squid/block.acl"

You need to create a whilist file congaing list of all sites need to be white listed. eg. www.sensex.com. Also need to careful that your block.acl file should contain domain names(eg. pornhub.com). If you filter the sites by words it won't help you, it will block some other good sites also. Black-listed sites names are available from squidguard.org. Hopes this will help you..

One file will support more than two hundred thousand lines. More over if you wand more than that create one more file like block1.acl and add the
domain names.

Hi Susant, i am fine . Well come to ur question its so simple just make other allow files and put the entry of sites that u want to allow like this.

You should beware that by blocking sites containing the word “sex”, you will also block sites such as Middlesex University, Sussex University, etc. To resolve this problem, you can put those sites in a special file called squid-noblock.acl:

http://www.middlesex.ac.uk
http://www.sussex.ac.uk

Or if you want to block a specific site only i.e. sex.com and not want any whitelist because of that then you can use following in your block list--

^sex\.com
\.sex\.com

this will block only that domain entirely.

Regards.
