Slackware 6TB RAID5 - New install- Cannot cfdisk

I have been running Slackware since V3.6.
Does anyone know what the limit is on Slackware disk size?
I have a Dell PE1950 with a PV MD attached to it. The PV has (8) 1TB drives. (7) in RAID5 with (1) as a hotspare. The drivers come up, and the disks are discovered fine, but I get an error when booting the install DVD and cannot cfdisk the array-

Very big device. Trying to use READ CAPACITY(16)
11714691072 512 byte hardware sectors (5997922MB).

Any clues? Do I need to make smaller arrays? What is the limit for Slackware, 2.6 kernel?

Any help is appreciated.
