pxeboot post install file permission problem

hi,
i have pxe server, works fine, now im trying to create some files and folders, by running my custom scripts . i copy those scripts from pxe server to newly installed pc using wget. they does some stuff and create files , but i'm unable to change those file permissions,

im adding " chown ubuntu:ubuntu /home/ubuntu/file" etc, but doesn't work.
please let me know how to change permissions for files created during post install

Root may need to run that command.

I think one can use some compression to save proper permissions. Zip or maybe tar.
