We need your help to setup all distributions of linux favors, windows, and vmware esxi. I am planning to implement in centos 6 or 7. I need some good links and documents to achieve this setup.
There are hundreds of examples on pxe and almost none are similar.
Do you have a more detailed example of the flow for this task? For example, do you want to put images of specific hardware on exact clients locally? Do you want to remote this all? These kind of answers we'd need.
I like to point people to Knoppix terminal server and ask them to look at how the server installs and sets up what. Use 3.3 to 6.x I'd think. A few versions didn't work.
There is also GPXE/IPXE if you want to go outside of lan or don't have pxe in bios.
Issues are hardware, amount of ram, speed of lan/wan, deploy full images or deploy net install images. Deploy remotely or locally. Maybe second issues would be how you serve the images such as http or nfs or ftp or what.
I am planning this to implement in local LAN so our local clients can use my server to deploy there different images like windows, different linux favour, vmware exi and xen images. I am fine with FTP or nfs.
Do you have a more detailed example of the flow for this task?
We have 15 different vlans. Lab users every day installing different images some end machines has ipmi to mount iso images and install some are not have remote console but they have ability to boot from pxe. I Dont want them to install using DVD's.
So planning to put all images in server either linux or window and configure nfs or FTP and enableproper configuration for PXE.
