Question openldap assertion error -- ldap_parse_result: Assertion `r != ((void *)0)' failed

Anyone else seeing this? Solution?

We are randomly getting openldap assertion errors. See below for example. We are also seeing them radomly when 'su'ing to another user. Seeing them a couple times a day at best. Also seeing this in another environment with different kernel version and different openldap version. Command hangs for about 5 seconds before asserting.

[mysql@gridmasterprd mysql]$ ls gridmasterprd
ls: ../../../libraries/libldap/error.c:273: ldap_parse_result: Assertion `r != ((void *)0)' failed.
Aborted
[mysql@gridmasterprd mysql]$ echo $?

You can submit a bug report to openldap developers.
If you have a support contract with RH you can also ask them.
