Unhappy NFS mounting failure


Hi All,

Please help me

I have a Cluster NFS on my data center.

that cluster consist 2 server, named : A and B.

Primary server is A , and backup server is B.

there are several servers mount nfs partition, but in a few days the mounting often fail.

for information :

specification of server A as same as server B with 20 GB of memory, Suse EL 9 64 Bit.

when i see on /var/log/message in server that mounting fail, there is several logs :

kernel: nfs: server 10.1.3.87 not responding, still trying
kernel: nfs: server 10.1.3.87 OK.

Dear m.efendi,

Please check portmap and nfs service is running properly or not?

- It could also be a temporray problem with the network.

- Or the server machine is too busy to answer the requests.

Check the log files on the servers in question. Make sure that your /etc/exports files match up and check to make sure that you have actually exported the nfs shares.
