[SOLVED] netkit-telnetd fails with error on network machine

On the server itself, telnet works. However, on all other clients, it will fail with:

Code:

getnameinfo: localhost: Success
Temporary failure in name resolution: Success
Connection to host lost.

I tried checking the DNS server, and it's working okay, and just to be on the safe side, I tried modifying the hosts file on the client to specifically include the entry, and no luck. Please help. I know I got it working before, and I can't see what's wrong this time.

You aren't by chance trying to trick somebody to think that your remote host is their locahost?

No, I'm not trying to get other machines to think my machine is their localhost. I was just trying to get telnet to work normally. However, I decided to just get rid of that since it wasn't used enough to justify fighting with it.
