Linux Firewall and Win 2003 server setup

I desperately need help to setup our network from scratch. We got a new server and I want to change the ip ranges.

This is what we have:

adsl with 5 static (live) ip's
win server 2003 (file server, dhcp, dns and wins + Lotus Notes)
Linux firewall (iptables, natting)

The Linux fw has two network cards, one with a static live IP and one with an internal gw ip. The Win server has one nw card with an internal ip (192.168.0) Subnet is on C. Internet and e-mail is routed through the Linux fw. Nothing goes out on port 25 and only Lotus Notes can route e-mail in and out on its port.

Can I do the following?

Setup Clark Connect rather than RedHat Enterprise 4 (currently using) to do the same as the above? Or is there someone here that can help me change the current ip's to what the new ip range should be on the Linux firewall. I do not know how to route the incoming mail to the Lotus notes server but I can see the previous commands that were entered into the firewall. e.g iptables -A input eth0 - p tcp -s 192.168... --dport 3389 -j accept.

I want to setup the Win server to dish out the new ip range (172.18.64...). The cisco router is using one of the static live ip's of course.

Anyone willing to go through the setup process with me?

Thanks!

Never used Clark Connect but from the web page, it looks like it would be easy to use.

I've done this same thing with great success using Monowall. Very easy to setup and maintain.

Hi AB

Thanks for the reply. I am working on a step by step tutorial on how to implement a firewall and 2003 server. I am sure there are a lot of guys that want to do this. I will post it here and then people can make changes to it if they have the time.

I will check out MonoWall.
