Sudo And It's Intended Purpose

I've seen many threads on LQ regarding the use of 'sudo' and each time I'm shocked at how often this utility is misunderstood.

Here I will will try and convey my interpretation of its intended proper use and describe alternate methods of accomplishing the same tasks more securely or in a best use context.

Robotics For Kids

I was just reading a slashdot article on Robotics for Kids and read a particular /.'rs comment that really sounded great!

Tomboy Notes and Syncronization

I've recently started making extensive use of the wiki style Tomboy notes application now standard in the Fedora distro.

After building up a few notebooks for myself I decided to introduce Tomboy to my wife so she can use it too for joting down recipies, or remembering how to do tasks on the computer.

Then it soon became evident that I needed to sync our collections together so I could help her document some things for around the house, etc... There were some good tutorials...
