Exclamation Limit size quota for a samba shared folder

Hi! I'd like to know if anyone knows how to set a size limit for a samba shared folder. I've been using a samba server with RHEL 4 to store user profiles. All of the user profiles are in a RAID storage. I need to set a size limit for each folder which is the user profile. Hope someone can help me on this.

this one is a very good article! but i have question on this one, and i hope you can give me some details... as stated as an example, the quota was set to 200mb

**********

Filesystem blocks soft hard inodes soft hard
/dev/sdb1 56 204800 0 14 900 1000

**********

what will be the entry if i want to set a max limit of 10GB per user?

Quota for a Samba share?

Hi guys,
Sorry to put the questions in other way, but... this tutorial isnīt for a QUOTA IN SAMBA SHARE, it is only designed to set DISK QUOTA per mount point.
For me, this doesnīt solves my problem.
I need to put quota on a share folder, like a: /home/user1, /home/user2, etc...

I think the way it is in "vfs objects" in the sambaīs configuration, but I didnīt find any precise documentation for to do this.

we're actually doing the same...

correct me if i'm wrong, but as what i understand, we have to set user1 as owner of /home/user1; user2 as owner of /home/user2...

should this do it? any other ideas?

Yes, imagining that the user1īs folder is set in the smb.conf as /home/user1 and /home/user2 for the user2 and so on.
But, in this case, you donīt have a quota limit for sharing, instead, you have a limit for fileīs user in entire partition disc.

I have read some documentation, but I didnīt find anything to set limit for each shared folder...

I enjoy any answer about that
