My server dns is already working

code..


server:~ # host Google
Google is an alias for Google.
Google has address 209.85.129.99
Google has address 209.85.129.104
Google has address 209.85.129.147
server:~ #

I want dns acquainted all ip addresses on my network .

You really haven't made your question at all clear. You need to explain what you are trying to achieve and what you've tried.

I assume you are trying to set up a DNS server with a local (private) zone. have you looked at this?

I want to register all addresses to the Web developer in the file to a query by

I mean when I write in shell

host ( name or ip for pc on network ) Give me the answer


mr. grepmasterd I know this site i installed dns server from yast and i Configured DNS and DHCP from this site

I still am not sure I understand. If you did everything posted on pcc-services site you should be able to do what you want.

~$ host somepc1.mynet.com
somepc1.mynet.com A 10.1.1.1
~$ host somepc2.mynet.com
somepc2.mynet.com A 10.1.1.2
~$ host -t ptr 10.1.1.1
Name: somepc1.mynet.com
Address: 10.1.1.1
~$ host -t ptr 10.1.1.2
Name: somepc2.mynet.com
Address: 10.1.1.2

perhaps you can clarify with some example commands
