How does LIO allow to pass through only some SCSI commands to block driver?

PSCSI seems allow LIO ability to pass through SCSI commands. But sometime we don't want to implement all SCSI for that devices. We only want certain SCSI commands to be pass through and leave rest of SCSI commands handled by LIO SCSI layer.

Thanks and help is appreciated!

LIO has PSCSi as a backstore, so it's going to process what it recognizes however according to the maintainers, iBLOCK has support for persistent reservations and asymmetrical logical unit assignment that's lacking in the physical SCSI (PSCSi) LIO implementation. If that's what you'd like to see passed through, I'd suggest you take a look at using iBLOCK.

Thanks.

Thanks. I believe if we use iblock, we don't pass through any scsi commands.
What if we want to pass through some commands like inquiry commands? Can IBLOCK has option to do that?

Thanks.
