CentOS 6 Mailserver

Hello.

I have a VPS webserver with CentOS 6, that host a couple of websites. This works without problems.

It it possible to set up a mailserver on another server with CentOS 6, and then just change the MX record in the DNS settings for a domain, so i get the mails on another server?

Thank you,
Christian

Good. Then i was right about that.

When using postfix and dovecot, is it possible to do this?
Is there any guide somewhere on the internet? I have tried Google, but i can't find anything.

Thanks on behalf.

mx records only relate to the MTA, i.e. postfix.

what kind of guide are you expecting? There's nothing to learn surely? The MX record points to the mail server... what else is there to know?
