apache 2.4.2 installation error


Dear all,

Iam running centos 5.3 in my server and it has apache version (httpd-2.2.3) and iam trying to upgrade my apache version to 2.4.2 through this installation guide which i have given the link below and i was strck in the installation and i got the below error and can any one assist me how to upgrade my apache version to 2.4.2 by rpmbuild

rpmbuild -tb httpd-2.4.2.tar.bz2
error: Failed build dependencies:
apr-devel >= 1.4.0 is needed by httpd-2.4.2-1.noarch
apr-util-devel >= 1.4.0 is needed by httpd-2.4.2-1.noarch
lua-devel is needed by httpd-2.4.2-1.noarch
[root@itsupport apache]# rpmbuild -tb apr-util-1.4.1.tar.bz2
error: Failed build dependencies:
apr-devel >= 1.4.0 is needed by apr-util-1.4.1-1.i386
libuuid-devel is needed by apr-util-1.4.1-1.i386
sqlite-devel >= 3.0.0 is needed by apr-util-1.4.1-1.i386
freetds-devel is needed by apr-util-1.4.1-1.i386
unixODBC-devel is needed by apr-util-1.4.1-1.i386
nss-devel is needed by apr-util-1.4.1-1.i386

Ugh, stop doing this. You are NOT doing what you think you are. What are the features in 2.4 that you need but don't have in 2.2? please list them here...

If you really want to do the wrong thing, that is absolutely NOT recommended then you need to satisfy those dependencies by installing the appropriate RPM packages via yum / rpm.
