[HELP] Setting in Samba -- smb.conf


Hello All:

I am using Debian as Samba server.
The clients are WinXP(Chinese).
Thus the code page is 950.

When I add the line:
client code page = 950
in smb.conf
It doesn't work. The testparm saide it is not UNKNOWN.
Pls help.

version 3 dropped that setting... you want to use these now:
dos charset
unix charset
display charset

man smb.conf should explain each.

The option
Code:
client code page
is not described in the man page of smb.conf . Not with my samba version, at least.

I use the Parameters
Code:
unix charset = iso8859-15
display charset = iso8859-15
Now, that is for german clients, of course.
