This really looks like homework so I don't think anyone is going to do your work for you.

Per the LQ Rules, please do not post homework assignments verbatim. We're happy to assist if you have specific questions or have hit a stumbling point, however. Let us know what you've already tried and what references you have used (including class notes, books, and Google searches) and we'll do our best to help. Also, keep in mind that your instructor might also be an LQ member.

I've closed this thread allowing you to rephrase things. Break down the structure into separate questions you can ask in separate threads. I suggest you first read some of the Bash scripting guides

Code:
function help() { echo "Bash scripting guides:
http://www.tldp.org/HOWTO/Bash-Prog-Intro-HOWTO.html
http://www.tldp.org/LDP/Bash-Beginners-Guide/html/index.html
http://www.gnu.org/software/bash/manual/html_node/index.html
http://www.grymoire.com/Unix/Sh.html
http://www.tldp.org/LDP/abs/html/
http://wooledge.org/mywiki/BashFAQ?action=show&redirect=BashFaq
http://wooledge.org/mywiki/BashPitfalls"; }
reread your study material, create a (pseudo) script and post that in a new thread asking for improvements. Only after that move on to incorporating setup phase tools.
