In Ubuntu and Mint, what is the best security hardening tutorial?

I am using a new install of Mint Mate, 21.1.
How best may I security harden my laptop? Firewall and Apparmor, tweeks...? Is there a best tutorial?

"Explain World War II. Use both sides of paper if necessary." -- Peanuts

"Hardening" is a very big topic and I suggest that you simply begin with a DuckDuckGo search of the internet.

"Hardening" is also somewhat of an ambiguous term that can mean a great many things.

Go crazy:

https://madaidans-insecurities.githu...hardening.html

99% of the things on both of those sites aren't really needed on a desktop running any flavor of Linux.

Techmint has some nice guides for hardening and securing Linux. IBM too.

Here's a hardcore guide... https://madaidans-insecurities.githu...hardening.html

Lynis makes a great auditing tool.
