Have anyone installed Helix to a harddrive?
Why isn't installing Helix to a harddrive supportted?
Im new to forensics but not to linux, it seems to me someone would want to store known good and know bad hash tables for a varity of stuff. Also it seems saving extract strings to the harddrive would be a good idea. Also I can seem to get pyflag to work, because mysql wont start when im running Helix from the cd. And if you recoving deleted files would you want to copy them somewhere?
Why is it better to run it from the CD only?
How many people run Helix from the CD only? How many from a hd?
Could somone who has it running off an HD tell us exactly how you did it? I have installed other version of linux hundreds of times and have used both grub and lilo, Im not sure what I'm doing wrong here.
