Checking md5sum from the burnt cd

Hello all,
I don't know if this is the right place to ask this Q so sorry if I'm wrong.I am wondering if there is a way to check the md5sum of a distro after it has been burnt to cd?
I accidentally deleted the iso on my hard drive before checking.
Thanks
