Aide Database


I cant figure out how to obtain a working database for aide?
does anyone use aide? is it worth keeping around or should i just remove it?
does anyone have a usefull website about aide or an aide faq perhaps?
thanks in advance

well it is simple

aide --init --config <configfilename>

an example configuration:

when i do that with specifying the config file, it should email me the results am i correct?
i am trying to figure out if now my mail is working correctly or not...
