yagq - yet another grub question win lin boot

Hi,

I am really sorry for asking but here goes,

Disk /dev/hda: 40.0 GB, 40020664320 bytes
255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 4865 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes

Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/hda1 1 146 1172713+ 82 Linux swap / Solaris
/dev/hda2 147 1665 12201367+ 83 Linux
/dev/hda3 * 1666 4865 25704000 7 HPFS/NTFS

Disk /dev/sda: 300.0 GB, 300069052416 bytes
255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 36481 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes

Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/sda1 1 36481 293033601 5 Extended
/dev/sda5 1 36481 293033569+ 83 Linux

Should this not work to boot windows (it is on hda3)

title Windows XP Professional Sp1
root (hd0,2)
map (hd0,2)(hd0,0)
map (hd0,0)(hd0,2)
makeactive
chainloader +1

Cause the map makes it pretend that the ms boot loader is there right?

I get the error 11 mesg from grub. My grub is in the mbr.

Error 11 is improper device string---perhaps because you don't have spaces between the 2 devices??

try:
map (hd0,2) (hd0,0)
map (hd0,0) (hd0,2)
