xfree 4.3.0.1


Hey, ok Im having problems getting Xfree to run at 1024 by 720 it's only working in 640 by 480 no matter what res i tell it to use

Xfree 4.3.0.1
Gentoo 2.6.5.1

Note: I havnt delted any parts of it just added the modes and default depth.

Im so helpless

Ok ive fixed for myself but if any one is having the same problem, you have to
"Important Note! The default configuration file created by "X -configure" assumes a very stupid monitor, capable of no more than 640x480 60Hz. On many laptops, this timing produces an unreadable screen. Before launching X, you should load your newly created XF86Config into an editor, find the "Monitor" section, and add these two lines before the EndSection"

So just add
HorizSync 30-70
VertRefresh 50-90

Changing the values to what are needed, usually i install on laptops so dont have this problem ah well
