x server fails to start.


I have installed nis server, but unable to start gui enevironment as it shows xserver fails

please do not mark threads as urgent. it is not urgent for any of the lq members who kindly donate their time to help others.

and clearly an x server failing to start has nothign to do with NIS or Networking... moved to Linux - Newbie with a title change. you'll still need to add a lot more useful information about X if you expect any helpful responses.
