Wireless Driver says it's activated, but doesn't work
Hey guys,
I've been with Ubuntu since about 10.10 and a little before, but did a trial. I just installed 11.04 tonight, and my wireless driver is having an issue. I installed it, and reset my computer to complete the installation, but it still doesn't pick up anything wireless, just Ethernet.
If anyone could help, that would be amazing. Thank you very much.

First, we need more info. What is the make and model your machine? Is it a laptop, netbook, desktop, or some other kind of computer? Also, we need to know what kind of wireless card we're dealing with, open a terminal and try running lspci. Look through output, and if you can't figure it out, post it here. It is most likely a driver issue.

^ that is everything that came up when I typed lspci into the terminal. It is a laptop. An Acer Extensa 4620z. Since I installed 11.04 without installing the updates, due to my disc drive being broken, and sparing my fingers the pain of holding the drive to work, I'm going to see if the update is an issue =/ I just realized that, but knowing my luck lol, probably won't work.
