Wine and alphacentauri

Hi there I am trying to get alphacentauri (windows version) to work on Mandrake 9.2.
I have been able to actually load the game, but there are quite a few problems and would like to hear the opinion of someone who may know what it means and what it needs to be done, here it goes:
when i run wine before the game loads i get the following message in the console:
Xlib: extension XFree86-DRI missing on display ":0.0"
Now I googled a bit trying to find what it means and i have gathered so far that this might refer to either to some configuration within wine or my etc/X11/XF86Config file or it might have to do with the graphic card (ati rage pro 8mb). I am inclined to beleive that it is probably the confs files which need tweaking rather than the card, which has worked for this game when I had Windows on this machine.

Also the game is rater unpredictable, sometimes it starts other times just hangs. Fonts are not displayed in the most suitable fashion or at all...

As this is my first attempt to configure something like wine, I know and understand that some work needs to be done and I am happy to have managed this far, but would appreciate if someone could enlighten me on the meaning of these errors, I would be happy to provide any information you might need. Understanding I think, is the first step to make things work.

Thanks in advance

for the Xlib: extension XFree86-DRI missing on display ":0.0"
try and go to the XF86Config file is on /etc/X11 then there on the module load parts where all of the other load are like

load "glx"

and all oter types write

load "dri"
that should work

Hi there,
Thanks for your input, here's what I did:

added the module section in the /etc/X11/XF86Config, taking it from XF86Config-4, adding what you suggested, but to no avail, I am afraid.

Any other suggestion, please feel free.
