Windows style Network Connection Icon in SysTray?

Hi All,
Does linux have a similar icon that's available in all distros, that I somehow haven't found yet?
Or is there a download of some package, rpm, deb that someone knows about that enables this Icon to appear in the Linux system tray.
Its a really handy feature which I'd love to have on my linux distros also.
Any ideas / help greatly appreciated.
T.

Are you using KDE or GNOME or something else? I'm pretty sure something like that exists for KDE, have a look around kde-look.org

you may want to try gkrellm (search google). It won't give you the icon, but it will give you a handy set of monitors for the connection (which is what I think you need it for... Hope it helps a bit.
