Window Monitor Focus

Hey all,

I cannot seem to figure out how to make application windows take focus and open on the second monitor. In Windows, if you close the program on one monitor, it will open exactly where it was closed. Is there any way to do this with ubuntu 9.04. I have the compiz manager installed as well.

Thanks.

One option would be to set window rules -I'm not sure how or if you can do this in Compiz, though I suspect you can. With rules, you can set so windows matching an expression, application type, etc can have their settings remembered, saved and modified, including focus, geometry and position.
