Which version of Linux do you like best ?


I was wondering what people thought was the best version of linux. like mandrake or redhat or SuSe or any other version. please write why, i am tryin to choose myself, so this would help.

Haven't had any experience of any other distros (apart from RH8, briefly), but I'm getting on very nicely with Mandrake.

That is like asking "Which make of car do you like best ??"

Different systems have various "pros & cons".

People looking for something "Windows-like" go with Red Hat or Mandrake.

People who want "bare-bones" choose Slackware or even Debian.

you might want to search the board, there are a few long threads about exactly this question (its been asked many many many times before) ...you'll see many many opinions.
