where is black background image?

This must be very simple.. but i cannot locate a basic X background image (or is it called wallpaper?) The one that is not part of gnome or KDE. It used to be black, but on new Fedora 8 it is somewhat gray..
Where is this file located?

thanx

You don't need an image to make your background black. Instead of selecting a picture, select a color as your background, and set it to black.

What i have in mind is the most basic background which appears at boot time after X is loaded. I am using twm - a simple windows manager, not gnome or kde...
