Video Issue Dual Head

Using Red Hat, I setup the video output to work on two displays as root. Then when I login as another user (non-root), the changes do not take effect. I was under the impression that if you changed the display setting as root, it will trickle down to all the other users on the system since they should all use xorg.conf file. Is that correct? If that is correct has anybody heard of this before?

How did you configure that as root? Unless you actually edited /etc/X11/xorg.conf, I'm pretty sure you only changed it for that one user. None of the GUI utilities that I know of actually modify /etc/X11/xorg.conf.
