Using Tally on linux network


i want to use tally on linux . I am able to use the software on stand alone pc using wine. But in network not able to find path for the server pc.

I'm not sure why this has been reported as spam; the OP appears to be a legitimate question.

Tally is an accounting and business information package which is hugely popular in India. It is one of the applications we recognise as having no equivalent under Linux.

It does not run satisfactorily under wine. sgmehta's "in network not able to find path for the server pc" is probably part of that.

It would be great to find a way of providing Tally under Linux because it is a common blockage, stopping migration to Linux. AFAIK the only solution is to run it under Windows in a VM running on a Linux host.

recently, a 'new user' bumped many 'tally' threads promoting ..some site..

it was clearly spam, this was part of it, designed to entice everyone to pay attention to the spam
