Question Unknow parameter for /usr/bin/ld phase

Hi all,

Well, this is my first message, and I'll try to be brief.

I've installed successfully mandrake 10, but after some packages upgrade (mainly gcc & others ) to the latest level, unfortunatelly I'm not able anymore to compile a new version for the kernel, in fact I can't compile anything due to the following error :

# make xconfig
HOSTCC scripts/basic/fixdep
/usr/bin/ld: unrecognized option '--as-needed'
/usr/bin/ld: use the --help option for usage information
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make[1]: *** [scripts/basic/fixdep] Error 1
make: *** [scripts_basic] Error 2

I'm afraid i've messed up a bit the library / compiler environment...

Thanks in advance for any help / tip you could provide me.

Márcio
