bin/bash:usr/bin/lpr NO SUCH FILE OR DIRECTORY


I have recently re-installed SUSE8.0 , Samba 2.2.3a, CUPS then in an attempt to TESTPRINT, i got an error message:

bin/bash:usr/bin/lpr NO SUCH FILE OR DIRECTORY

How do i resolve this pls?????

Well, something is trying to access /usr/bin/lpr and its not finding it? Do you know where lpr is at? What command are you running exactly to get this error? More details about your setup or were as clueless as you are.

I got the error message while attempting to TEST printer during the Printer Installation.

here is what my smb.conf contains:


[global]
workgroup = ARBEITSGRP
netbios name = SAMBA

security = SHARE
encrypt passwords = Yes
password server = 194.180.75.90

socket options = TCP_NODELAY SO_RCVBUF=8192 SO_SNBUF=8192
os level = 64
preferred master = False
domain master = False
wins support = Yes

comment = All Printers
path = /var/spool/samba

guest ok = Yes
printable = Yes
browseable = No

[public]
path = /tmp

[HpLaserjet8100]
path = /var/spool/samba
read only = No
guest ok = Yes
printable = Yes
printer name = HpLaserjet8100

printer driver file = //etc/samba/printers.def
printer driver location = 194.180.73.194

bin/bash: usr/bin/lpr NO SUCH FILE .........

when i did
# whereis lpr

i got the response:

/usr/share/man/lpr.1gz

how do i resolve the problem pls???????
