Unable to See GUI for Ubuntu 64-Bit Server


I have just downloaded and installed "UBUNTU 64 BIT SERVER" for testing purpose but it login without GUI.

Any Help

That's because the server version does not come with a DE. To add one, please see the options here.

I just Ran below commands

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install ubuntu-desktop

but still GUI not visible.

To make GUI visible one has to start it.

Can you give us more information? Was the install successful? Were there any error messages when you rebooted the system?
