Unable to hear sound using USB Headphone in Ubuntu 12.04
Hi,
While using USB headphones for softphones, I am unable to hear the voice/sound after 5 minutes in Ubuntu 12.04LTS. It works perfectly in Ubuntu 10.04, but 10.04 does not support i3 systems.

Hi,
I am managing an callcenter for an telecom company & we are using predictive dialer for doing outbound calls which are connected to the client systems thru softphone ekiga. The agents will be connected via USB headphones. The sound settings I changed is Internal Audio to off, & usb audio will be the default sound preference. When a call is placed the client user will be able to hear the sound for the first 1 minute then the audio is available. When comparing to the Client ubuntu versions the fully supported OS is Ubuntu 10.04. But Ubunut 10.04 cannot be installed in an i3 processor system as the display & ethernet is not supported. I need a solution either the USB audio headphone has to work or the Ubuntu 10.04 should be able to be installed in the i3 systems with Motherboard Intel DG61WW
If your distro won't cut it, there's loads more of them out there. . .
It seems logical to install one that works, and make that happen with your sound card.
