Ubuntu game Hedgewars hidden in filesystems and won't load
I'm about a 2 week old noob, and have been reading Keir Thomas "Ubuntu Pocket Guide" to get me familiar with the panels, phrasing in the terminal etc. Today we ventured into the gaming world and I downloaded a couple games and even dosbox and wine just to familiarize with the processes. Still a little confused but learning and reading. Now for this interesting problem. I went to Synaptic did a search for hedgewars and found it. Selected the game and made sure to mark all the links and it proceeded to download. I went to Applications games expecting to see hedgewars in the list and it was not there. So I proceeded to /home/rhg and /desktop and it was not there. I then clicked on filesystems and did a search and found hedgewars there, but now I'm clueless on how to get it out of there and into the Applications click on games and play mode.
I know this is nit noy problem but my Son is dying to play this game and all day it has been "have you figured it out yet?"

This has been an interesting experience. Two weeks ago my daugher came in with BSOD on her HP Pavillion. Her laptop usage is Facebook, Facebook, music and occasional college paper. I told her with the way you use your computer you are just full of Windows bloatware and it locks you up. I had installed all of the required programs: anti-virus, spy ware, CClean, spy blaster etc. and she of course does not update like she should. So I told her we were going to move her to Ubuntu and so far she is tickled, everything works and she doesn't have to worry about updating all those various programs. Putting Ubuntu on my Toshiba Satellite has been a little more challenging, but it currently is booting fine and I updated my BIOS so now the "low graphics mode" error is gone. I still have a MP BIOS No Connection to ACPI 8254 error but it doesn't seem to effect the boot or Ubuntu's ability to operate. So life is good. Now I'm focusing on the interworkings of Ubuntu and the commands.
