Unhappy Two NICs card, but only can ping to eth1

Hi all,

I am pretty new to LINUX. I'm using RH-9 and install two Nics card, but only from eth1 Nic can ping and reply from other computers.

eth0 192.168.100.*
eth1 *.*.*.*

both IP are private IP, either which IP I have place on eth1, then this is the only IP that I can ping to other computers as well as other can ping my IP.

But not to eth0, I just wondering like windows there might have binding options in LINUX and how do I need to sort it out.

Please help !!!

Thank a lots.

What's the output of
route
on that machine?

I have no problems pinging on both
interfaces ... and the machine auto-
magically determines which one to
use ...

Cheers,
Tink

-What is your network config (i.e. how is the machine connected to the network via the two NICs)
-what kind of NICs are they
-what is your config for each NIC (i.e. whats in ifcfg-eth0 and ifcfg-eth1)
-do you have any firewall rules configured

Cheers
Jo
