MOONLIGHT just won't work for me on this site: http://www.severestudios.com/livechase. The image freezes after 1 second and won't restart. The high season is just around the corner (May) pls help! Hardy and latest FF, old vanta nvidia card that works ok with the usual Flash.

I can't test it from my system. It just says "Sorry, no live cameras" and below that "Currently off-air".
cheers,
jdk
yeah, well, just wait till the season gets going...
you'll want in on these streams too. I caught 2 last year, LIVE Tornadoes! YouTube has some pretty intense footage of Tornadoes, to give you a taste. But having the feeling you're sitting right there with buddy, wondering: "Is it coming down, or is it not?" or worse: "Hey, is it coming THIS WAY?!" is quite something. There's a whole extreme tourism industry now growing up around this phenomena. And I suppose, when I get the chance, I'll go there myself!
Meanwhile, they "caved in" to M$, (forgive them, for they know not that Linux has come) and I can't get it to work (I mean Moonlight)
There's a possibility of severe weather on sun or mon. There should be at least some streaming for testing purposes...Thx for any help!
Re: Tornado!
Well 'tis the season now! Another streaming site is locking me out: http://www.stormchaselive.com/, this time using the mplayer plugin and the user agent switcher. It may be more of a configuration problem, but I am more than open to suggestions!!!

FWIW I can see the postage stamp sized little videos working that appear to the left of the names like Chris Rice. That is the only trace of video on the page you mentioned. I'm not sure what else I'm supposed to see.
Cheers,
jdk
Beside those little stamps, (which run a loop video, I discovered) the name of the storm chaser is underlined; when you click on it, an embedded video window opens and starts a stream. Or not, in my case. I just tried using gecko yesterday. It did less than mplayer. My problem in this case may be related to the difficulties I have with WWITV (that is, almost no success). I live in eastern Canada, using the "Official" ISP there (Bell Sympatico, which sold their souls to MSN long ago). Apart from that: Ubuntu 8.10 on a P4 Netvista with Nvidia Vanta 16. Thx for any help.

I agree. The site seems hopelessly locked into MS and very unfriendly for the rest of us. Tant pis...
Salut,
