3com 3c905C Tornado Query on Sarge (2.6)

Just bought this card knowing it would work with Debian Sarge and it does.
It was picked up straight away when I re did Sarge and I can ping sites without any drama, but web pages just wont open even though I played around with the network tools in Gnome.
I know it's probably something simple, but can anyone help, thanks...
