Question the "route" command

Everytime my comp boots up i have to go into the console and use the route command to add my gateway...and well this seems to be the only way i can get my connection to work so i was wondering if there were any place i could just enter this command and have it auto run it evertime i boot my pc...it becomes a real hassle to have to enter that thing every time :P...thanx for your time and any help that is offered.

you can place the commands in a script in one of the /etc/rc.d boot scripts.

you should just be able to specify the gateway in /etc/sysconfig/network on the GATEWAY= line.
