System Freezes

I open folder with 179 image files.
I click Edit/ Select All
I right click on an image and select Open with Shotwell Viewer
System freezes. By that I mean the mouse will not react.
The only way I know to kill the process is Alt-Sysrq-b, which reboots computer.
Is the another way to get out of this app freeze without a reboot?

Have you tested with any other image viewers?

Have you checked the log files? If the system is freezing completely, an error might not have a chance to make it to the logs, but it's still worth a look.

Welcome to LQ,

What it sounds like is you select all images (179) and then right click and start opening 179 instances of Shotwell.

I thought you could just start Shotwell on one image and then view next, and previous. Browse with it.

Another alternative is to just start Shotwell first and then open an image.
