Suse Linux Installation

Hello,

My name is John Tankersley. I am working with SLES and Suse Linux 12.1 version.
I installed the server and client side and they are running.
I had to go into text mode to get them to install.
My question is this. I pinged the client and server and they both responded.
I am trying to set up the Apache web server software.
I found that there is an error in the coding of the program.
I have no idea how to correct this?
Any suggestions.?

Hi, Welcome to LQ!

About apache mod files,

just last week while installing a fresh version of Mageia3b2, I was getting

errors from the httpd service start.

looking into some of the addresses and the files themselves,

I found the mod files internal(code/text formatting) structure was changed, weird, end of line missing...

I'm no coder, but It was pretty obvious the files were corrupted, but readable.

Anyway, If its an apache module problem, that might help explain.

I reinstalled apache and upgraded the associated mod packages. (untill it was fixed, even downgrading worked untill a newer package version was available, like the next day)

sorry for the rant.

We'd really need a heck of a lot more info.
What exactly did you type in, what exactly were the responses/msgs/symptoms?

"I am trying to set up the Apache web server software.

What is the error?

"I pinged the client and server and they both responded." Ping is a two way test. You tested it 4 times.
