Upgrade to SuSE 10.1; could not find SuSe linux installation source

I want to upgrade from SuSE 9.0 to SuSE 10.1

I have iso-burned the 5 iso CDs plus the auxilliary

Also, I have iso-burned the net download boot CD

The MD5Sums all check out fine

But, whether I use the net install, or CD1 I get

First A nice blue welcome screen

Then a red screen saying Could not find SuSE installation disks
satrting manual installation.

Searching on google tells me I am supposed to get that, all I have to do is press OK.

But I can't

The mouse cursor isn't there, and it doesn't respond to the keyboard.

Any ideas as to what is going wrong?
