Stop booting into GUI in SuSE 9.0

Hopefully a nice easy one, but I have a new install of SuSE 9.0, standard install. I want to be able to close the GUI or ideally not boot into it at all.

How do I do this?

Edit /etc/inittab

You'll even find instructions on what to edit inside the file!

to close it, i think its
Code:
Alt+Ctrl+F2
to not boot at all, edit inittab like jkobrien said.
change Runlevel: to 3, instead 0f 5

Alt+Ctrl+F2 doesn't really close the GUI. You have six different virtual terminals that you switch between using Alt+Ctrl+F[1-6]. When you start an Xsession it's opened in a seventh terminal (if you press Alt+Ctrl+F1 you'll see all the log messages) and so if you "close" it with Alt+Ctrl+F2 it will still be there waiting for when you press Alt+Ctrl+F7.
