startx command not recognized


i recently installed red hat 7.0 which accompanied a collection of books i bought. i cannot get the gui to start. can anyone be so kind as to help my sorry lost butt!!! please!!!! i have an old pentium 100 mhz w/32 MB of ram, 3 gig hdd space. hope that helps. lilo boots fine with a graphical display of options so i want to assume that the onboard video can handle it.

maybe u dont install the x package/gnome/kde

try to install it.

mount cdrom and go to the cdrom or package directory

#sh install-package

or

#installpkg

or

#pkgtool
