squid report with user name


i m new to linux.. i have installed squid on my CentOS pc and using webmin to generate users internet usage reports on Windows.. this report displays users IP rather than their names.. i want to display the users name instead of their IPs. is it possible ? i m using AD 2008

If you have a database where user names are matched to IP addresses then you could just map them to the matching IP.

*edit*: perhaps I misunderstood. I was under the assumption you mean users of a web application with a database backend rather than Windows user names.

thanx let me explain ..i am using MS active directory.. and have installed a squid on separate CentOS PC as a proxy server.. what i need to know which users are consuming high bandwidth.. i am getting the Internet usage report from SARG.. but it displays in IP format rather thn name..so how can squid generates the report in name format (Active directory contains all the users list)?.. but i dont know how squid interact with AD and get the user list from it..
